If you want to become a chaplain you are called to serve in an honorable ministry. The VOCATIONAL skills to perform the work of the chaplain are learned at this level. This level presents the responsibility that this ministry entails, the candidates at this level have reached maturity and are convinced that chaplaincy is for them. They take training in the chaplaincy, which enables them to perform in the chaplaincy area in prisons, hospitals, police, homeless homes, within their chaplain functions. Many candidates at this level aspire to ministerial chaplains, and have credentials of workers from their respective churches or organizations. Chaplains at this level have the chaplaincy ministry as an integral part of their ministries.
Module II of the VOCATIONAL CHAPLAIN of chaplaincy equips the candidate to work primarily and directly with organizations of churches, hospitals, nursing homes, police departments, firefighters and other institutions. All this within your established ministry. Module II has a duration of 47 hours of training, meeting classes ONE times a month.
Mission of the Vocational Chaplain
Extend the ministry of the Church regarding the preaching of the gospel and service to others in all the communities and regions within our reach, providing comfort, support, support and help to the needy in times of spiritual crisis.
Vision of the Vocational Chaplain
Assist Pastors, Churches and organizations in the task of supplying the spiritual needs that arise in our communities, with the goal of reaching a large number of people held in hospital, prison, aging and rehabilitation centers located in our demarcation.
Goals and Objectives
1. Distribute pastoral work in the community in accordance with the prevailing needs taking into account the number of chaplains available and willing to work according to the commitment and call received from God.
2. Win souls for the Kingdom of God through preaching and example at all times.
3. Recruit, motivate, train and prepare chaplains to enter the ministry again.
4. Provide the Pastor with updated reports on the work carried out by all the chaplains of the Church.
5. Promote workshops and seminars on continuing education aimed at their professional improvement.
6. Review and update community social action work plans so that they are effective and produce the expected fruits for the glory of the Lord and the growth of the work.
7. Coordinate activities to recognize the work carried out by the body of chaplain ministers of the Church.
8. Promote the unity and willingness of chaplains to integrate into all departments of the Church so that the social and spiritual work of the Church can be carried out in an organized, harmonious and collaborative manner, achieving the goals and objectives set. in the annual work plans.
9. Delegate to them the responsibility of organizing and directing committees for personal work, evangelism and follow-up visits to brothers and friends in the community.
10. Delegate and commission the chaplains of the Church to volunteer in the relevant government agencies.
